The VIP Kickoff Party is a private get together where paying guests can mingle and chat with the ParaPsyCon special guests. Complimentary appetizers, as well as a cash bar will be available. An auction will be held featuring several items signed by celebrities. This event is for guests 21 and older. Special guests are subject to change without notice.

There will be a handful of food trucks on the reformatory grounds, plus there will be light snacks and drinks for sale in the Scofield Cafe, located on the 1st floor, East Admin across from the Museum Store.

You can take the self-guided tour of OSR. Be advised however that certain areas on the tour route will be part of the ParaPsyCon such as the Bullpen, West Cell Block, and the Central Guard Room.

Your paid admission during the weekend of ParaPsyCon VI & the Ohio State Reformatory include a self-guided tour of the Ohio State Reformatory, entry to all of the vendor areas, speaker area, and the celebrities. Admission price DOES NOT include admission into the VIP Kickoff Party, or the Celebrity Ghost Hunt.

Paid admission into the Ohio State Reformatory gets you access to the ParaPsyCon. Yes...there are several ATM's inside the building.

There are several hotels in Mansield, including some on Rt. 13 at Interstate 71. There are also several hotels off Rt 30 in Ontario, OH and off Interstate 71 & US 250 in Ashland. All of these hotels are within 25 minutes of the reformatory.

Those special events DO NOT include admission during the day, unless you purchased the ParaPsyCon Premier Package.

No photographs may be used for personal profit. Photographs of the working correctional facility directly behind the Ohio State Reformatory are STRICTLY PROHIBITED! Tripods, monopods, lighting equipment, and models are considered a "Photo tour" and will yield an additional fee. Small-scale photography is permitted. You may take photos with your phone or a personal camera. Tripods, monopods, external flash or extra lighting, or any other photography equipment are not allowed on our standard tour. We offer special photography tour options for professionals and hobbyists who want to bring additional external equipment. Photography tours start at $150 and can be scheduled before our building opens to the public. Video recording of our tours is strictly prohibited. For more information please visit www.mrps.org

Enter the main drive through the gate and park in the asphalt lot on the right (East) side of the reformatory. If that lot is full you may park in the large grassy field adjacent to the parking lot. The parking lot on the left (West) side of the reformatory is for staff members and volunteers.

ParaPsyCon VI will be held on Saturday May 17th, 2025 from 10:00 AM until 5:00 PM. and on Sunday May 18th, 2025 from 11:00 AM until 5:00 PM.

Yes, as long as you have your wrist band on you will be able to exit the building to get some fresh air or a bite to eat, and then re-enter. It is imperative that you do not lose your wristband or else you risk having to pay again to enter the building.

Most vendors do accept credit cards, but ask prior to making a purchase.

There are no age limits to enter the Ohio State Reformatory during the day events, however all guests must be at least 21 years of age for the VIP Meet n' Greet and 18 years of age for the Celebrity Ghost Hunt.

Service animals are welcome, companion animals are not. Please be aware for service animals that the building does contain lead paint and lead paint dust often ends up on the floor. You will need to wash your dog's paws immediately after leaving so that they do not ingest the paint flakes if they lick their paws. This is an Ohio State Reformatory guideline.

All areas of ParaPsyCon VI (Central Guard Room, East Diagonal, Bullpen, West Cell Block, Speaker area) are handicapped accessible. Most areas of OSR are now handicapped accessible which includes all three floors of the administration building. Areas that are not handicapped accessible are the Chapel, Cell Block Tiers, Library, Day Room.

The celebrities will be at ParaPsyCon VI on the following dates and times. Saturday May 17 - 11:00 AM - 5:00 PM Sunday May 18 - 12:00 PM - 5:00 PM (Subject to airline departure times) AS ALWAYS DURING THESE TYPE OF EVENTS CELEBRITIES ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE

Each celebrity does charge for autographs and items they are selling such as books, DVDs, etc. They can also charge for photographs if they so desire. Each fee is determined by each celebrity. The celebrities keep 100% of the profits from these sales. Black Shamrock Events, Tri-C Ghost Hunters, and the Ohio State Reformatory have no input in what each celebrity charges and recieves no money from those sales.

If you are visiting during the day there is no additional cost to meet the celebrities.

There are several ways during ParaPsyCon VI where you can meet the celebrities. You can purchase tickets to the VIP Kickoff Party, and/or the Celebrity Ghost Hunt. Or you can meet them during the day while they are at their tables.

You do not need to bring any paranormal equipment. But you can bring small items like audio recorders, cameras, EMF detectors, and the like. Please do not bring anything that will interfere with other guests. It is strongly urged that you bring a flashlight. However headlamps are not recommended, as they tend to blind other guests and staff members. You need no experience to attend the Celebrity Ghost Hunt. The celebrities will be on hand for the first several hours to assist guests and to show you different techniques of investigating. Members of Tri-C Ghost Hunters will also be on hand throughout the night to assist guests. No large bags, cases will be permitted and all bags are subject to search.

The Celebrity Ghost Hunt will be held on Saturday May 17th, 2025 from 8:30 PM until 2:30 AM. Registration will be from 7:15 PM - 8:00 PM.

The Celebrity Ghost Hunt is a ghost hunt inside the Ohio State Reformatory with the ParaPsyCon VI celebrities.

Tickets are $229 per person

All guests must be 18 years of age and older. This is an Ohio State Reformatory requirement.

There are no refunds unless the Celebrity Ghost Hunt is canceled.

Registration begins at 7:15 PM and ends at 8:00 PM. ALL guests must bring a valid photo ID and a signed Waiver of Liability form. We will hold onto your ID throughout the night and return it to you when you leave. This way we can keep track of who is still in the building. You do not need to bring a "ticket." We will check your photo ID with our printed master list. After registration we will go over the rules and then enter the prison. The Celebrity Ghost Hunt is divided into two parts. The first part starts at 8:30 PM and will end at 10:30 PM. For this portion guests will be divided into four groups of approximately 20 in each group. They will be led to four of the most active/haunted areas within the Ohio State Reformatory where the celebrities will be waiting. The celebrities will show each group techniques on investigations. Each group will spend approximately 20-25 minutes in each area. From 10:30 PM - 2:30 AM guests will be able to explore and investigate on their own. ALL guests must be out of the building by 2:30 AM. The celebrities will stay to at least 11:30 PM.
